Our Minister

caitlin pictureRev. Caitlin Childers Brown serves as the minister at ODUBCM.

Caitlin has her Masters of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University and undergraduate degree in Sociology from Mercer University. Caitlin has worked in college ministry since 2015 and been serving here at ODU since 2018. She is passionate about the creative intersections of the church and the world.

Our Ministry Associate

Brandess Holmes is an ODU Alumn with a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology. She is currently in Freedom School of Ministry and plans on attending grad school for Art Therapy. She has a passion for Jesus, people and art and tries to take every opportunity to advance the kingdom with creativity!

Our Ministry Assistant

Gene Owen is a retired engineer who serves our ministry three days a week. Gene is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with young adults and makes himself available in our ministry. You can find Gene at our building Tuesday through Thursdays 9am-1pm. Gene manages the space rentals and caring for the building. Contact him with questions about the space here:


Our Interns

Our ministry runs in part because of our interns who not only gain practical experience, but also spiritual development. The interns gain experience in running projects, developing community and prayerfully discerning ministries. This cohort is selected annually and is provided a small stipend.
